So i also accepted and went to Mydin for paper purchases. Took a big trolley @ the wholesale dept. Load paper on that, pay then go thru security checks.
I push my trolley slowly to the car as it's quite heavy. 150 rims of paper anyway. so push it slowly, when i reach my car, got 3 well suited indian guy asked me few question. Can see their tag hanging line with MYDIN, i thought they are mydin employees.
Actually one indian guy holding Iphone took a pict of me putting papers into my car and keep asking me the name of the cashier that help my checkout. How am i supposed to remember their name anyway. So i say "i Don't know." That guy keep saying few names, sort of giving me choice on names. Really, i said i can't rmb or recognize.
Hohoho, he's the marketing director of Mydin and he's curious why am i carrying down so much papers without any help from mydin personnel. Surprise? lol.. The other two guy beside him actually help me load papers into my car even in their suit. I pretty amazed why he's so kind to help me out until i realized he's the marketing director. This shows why he's in that position.
He made a few phonecall to the office and keep asking who supposed to help me push down the trolley and stuff like that. He keep telling of the points and ask me to renew my mydin member card, saying that the points really worth something one... Lol , i know i know, it worth shit la. Few million points to exchange a roll of toilet paper. Really the rewards is not as nice and much as what he described. Just felt like he exaggerated the benefit of the members. Really feel like telling him that the points systems sucks. Haha, i didn't do so, he seems like to promote his system, just don't want to pour cold water over him.
Really, I amazed with his extra effort to help out really;)

The directors themselves gave to get down to do all this because either the don't have enough staffs or their staffs don't give a damn. I think it is the latter as the salary given to them is extremely low. Mydin spends a lot on advertising and sponsoring government linked projects in order to be in good books but they treat the staffs very badly. Very low pay, no bonuses, and the best of all, NO MEDICAL FoR STAFFS!!! Yes. The company does not pay medical claim for staffs. So when the company treats the staffs as such, you can never expect the staffs to go all out for the company also.

Maybe it's due to the leadership of Mydin.
Hope things will improve as for the staff of mydin;)
